Week 2 | Aquin vs. Warren

Freeport- In a game between longtime rivals, it was Aquin who came out on top 35-8. Aquin took the opening kick off to start the game, advancing to their own 34 yard line. It wouldn't take the Bulldogs long to get things rolling as just 3 minutes and 25 seconds elapsed before the Bulldogs punched it into the endzone from 15 yards out. Warren was able to answer, with a good drive of their own only to have it die at the Aquin 17 after a failed 4th and 7. Aquin would go onto score on their next 3 possessions before adding a fourth score before halftime. The Bulldogs took a 35-0 lead into the half. Due to low numbers and injuries, the second half would start with a running clock. Warren finally entered into the points column on the scoreboard with 5 minutes left in the game on a 7 yard run by Carter Kubat. The 2-point conversion was good, capping off the scoring of the game.

Aquin was led in the ground game by Keegan Koester, who finished the night with 122 yards on 6 carries and 1 TD. Jonah Diemer led the passing attack going 6 for 10 for 133 yards and 2 TD's. On the receiving end was Bryce Carlson with 3 receptions for 48 yards and 2 TD's, and Zac Cummins added 2 receptions for 50 yards and 1 TD.

Carter Kubat led Warren on the night with 6 rushes for 38 yards and was 5 for 15 passing for another 29 yards. He scored the lone Warrior TD on the night. Next week: Aquin (2-0) @ AFC (1-1) | Orangeville (1-1) @ Warren (0-2)
