Week 4 | AFC at Aquin

The Upstate Game of the Week brought the Raiders of AFC to Conley Field to visit the Aquin Bulldogs. What looked like to be a great game on paper didn't disappoint early on.

Aquin received the opening kickoff and went to work right away. The Bulldogs marched down the field and reached the end zone on a Cole Luedeking 14 yard scamper. Aquin's next series would see them move the ball again, but the drive stalled at midfield as Aquin went for it on 4th down and failed to get the first down, turning the ball over on downs giving AFC great field position.

AFC would capitalize on this Aquin blunder, driving down the field and punching it in for 6 on a Stephen Brooke 5 yard TD run.

Aquin would answer back though as Jonah Diemer found Tim Harrington on a 40 yard TD pass. Zac Cummins would later add a field goal putting Aquin up 17-8.

The Raiders would respond with an 88 yard drive capped off by another Brooke TD run, this time from 20 yards out. The extra point was good, cutting Aquin's lead to 17-15.

But it was all Aquin from here on out, as Diemer would find Cummins on a 46 yard TD pass with 5 seconds remaining in the first half to lift the Bulldogs to a 24-15 halftime lead.

In the 2nd half, Diemer would once again find Harrington on another TD pass, and Luedeking would find the end zone 2 more times, capped off with a 76 yard TD run to seal the 44-15 Bulldog victory.

Diemer would finish the night with 16-19 passing for 285 yards with 2 TD passes, and Luedeking led the rushing attack with 163 yards and 3 TD's.

Stephen Brooke paced AFC with 247 yards rushing and 2 TD's.
